Since the main character “Gleam” is a young girl, we wondered, are there people who, because of the gender of the character, will not want to play the game? Especially quickly, men appeared in our minds who, when they realized it was a little girl they would be playing, become grumpy.
That’s why we decided to create a little survey that answers the question “does it matter if you play a girl or not?”.
The answer: No. 90% of the participants in the survey think that it doesn’t matter who they are in the game, especially what gender they are. Only 10% think it is important that their character matches themselves.
So we decided to keep the girl and not to focus too much on the gender issue.
